Let me tell you about a very special cat who has never left my heart — sweet Anfisa. Her journey hasn’t been easy. About two years ago, Anfisa suffered an accident that left her without a tail. But this brave girl made a full recovery and continued to greet life with quiet strength. Yana found her a family once, hoping it would be her happy ending. Sadly, due to aggression from another stray, she was sent back to the streets — through no fault of her own.
This year, Yana chose to give a different kind of gift — not to herself, but to Anfisa. She couldn’t bear to see her vulnerable again. Even though she lives in London, she arranged a safe foster placement for her with us in Istanbul.
All that’s left is the most important part: finding a kind, patient, and loving family who will never give up on her again.
Yana cannot adopt her herself — but she loves her deeply, and she dreams of the day Anfisa finally knows what “forever” feels like.

Anfisa is a truly affectionate and gentle cat who adores human company and thrives in a calm environment. She’s trusting, non-dominant, and perfectly content living indoors. While she can coexist with friendly cats, she secretly dreams of being the queen of her own castle — she has the cutest little way of “complaining” when other cats get too close, as if to say, “Excuse me, this spot was mine!” She’s not aggressive at all — just a soft soul who prefers peace and personal space. Anfisa would be happiest as the only cat in the home, where she can soak up all the love and attention she deserves.
