Female
Aster
Aster is a beautiful tabby-and-white girl with a playful spirit and a heart full of affection. She’s a true purring machine who loves following her humans around, supervising kitchen activities (especially breakfast!), and turning everyday moments into little adventures.
Aster is affectionate, lively, and gets along wonderfully with other cats. Sterilized and ready for her forever home, she is simply waiting for the family who will fall in love with her bright eyes, gentle purr, and joyful personality.
Female
Biskit
Biskit is a delicate 4–5 month old tabby-calico kitten with wide, curious eyes and the sweetest gentle nature. A little shy at first, she likes to observe quietly until she feels safe — and then her loving personality blossoms.
Her tiny paws start kneading soft “biscuits” (which is how she got her name), and she asks for attention with the softest little *maow*.
With a little patience and love, Biskit becomes an affectionate, devoted companion who will quietly steal your heart.
Male
Goldie
Goldie was never truly a stray. When we first saw him behind the shelter bars, he looked like a soul who had already given up on life. Whatever he experienced during his 7 years left a quiet sadness in his tired eyes.
For the past year, Goldie has been with us, showing us what a gentle and grateful soul he is. Calm, kind, and peaceful, he asks for very little — just safety, softness, and someone to love him again. He is the kind of cat who brings quiet warmth into a home and loves deeply in his own silent way.
Female
KK
KK has the strange sadness of a cat who once expected life to be different.
Not dramatic sadness. Not the loud kind. The quiet kind you notice when he watches people for a little too long, or when he settles beside you as if he already knows how it feels to belong somewhere — and how it feels to lose it.
He moves through life gently. No fights, no chaos, no need to prove himself. While other cats compete for attention, KK simply waits, hoping someone will eventually notice him for who he is. And once you do, it becomes impossible not to love him.
There is something deeply human about KK. The way he looks at you when you speak to him. The way he chooses closeness without demanding it. The way he seems grateful for ordinary things — a soft blanket, a calm voice, a hand reaching toward him kindly.
KK does not need saving from the streets anymore. We already did that part.
What he needs now is someone willing to rescue him from the loneliness of being overlooked.
Male
Kosmo
Kosmo appeared at the rescue one quiet afternoon as if he had simply decided this was where he belonged. From the moment he arrived, tail high and amber eyes curious, he greeted the volunteers with head bumps and loud purrs, asking for cuddles instead of hiding.
Social, affectionate, and playful, Kosmo loves both people and other cats and quickly makes himself part of the family wherever he goes.
Kosmo didn’t just arrive at the rescue — he chose it.
Now he’s waiting to choose you.
Female
Little Luba
Little Luba has a very simple philosophy in life: if she likes a place, she moves in.
She decided our cat pension was going to be her new home. We politely carried her back outside. She politely ignored our decision and walked straight back in. We repeated this little game several times... Luba remained completely convinced that we were the ones who didn't understand the arrangement.
Eventually, she won.
Our wonderful volunteer Luba fell hopelessly in love with this tiny, determined girl, and just like that, Little Luba became part of the Paws of Hope family.
The funniest part? The moment she realized she didn't have to fight for a safe place anymore, she stretched out and slept for hours. It was as if she thought, "Finally... these humans got the message."
Little Luba is sweet, affectionate, endlessly chatty, and believes every lap exists for her personal use. She has the confidence of a lion in the body of a kitten and enough charm to get away with absolutely everything.
Honestly, we never really rescued Luba.
She rescued herself. We just signed the paperwork.
Mix
Marilyn & Little Peas
Marilyn may look at the world through just one eye, but her heart sees every little soul in need.
This beautiful mama became a mother to orphaned kittens who had no one else. She cared for them, protected them and loved each one as if they were her own. After everything she has given to these babies, we simply couldn’t imagine releasing her back onto the streets.
Now it’s Marilyn’s turn to be cared for. She deserves a safe home, gentle hands, and all the love she has so freely given to others.
Male
Marty
Marty is a beautiful soul that were taken out from an awful shelter in Central Anatolia. Marty and his friends in the cage, were never “strays” to begin with.
Each of them once belonged to someone, then quietly disappeared into a shelter where survival was never guaranteed. We were meant to save four—but fate brought us eleven, because turning away was not an option. They arrived fragile, frightened, and carrying the weight of abandonment, yet still holding on. Today they are safe. And now, their real story can finally begin.
Male
Meghna
Meghna is not the kitten who will steal your heart in five seconds. He needs a little more time.
At only five months old, he hasn’t really had the chance to be a kitten. After his treatment, he was meant to return to the streets — until an angel named Meghna decided he deserved a chance.
He is still learning about people, love and cuddles, and we are very curious to meet the cat hiding behind all that uncertainty.
Not every kitten knows how to sell himself. Meghna is simply looking for someone with a big heart who will choose him anyway.
Female
Minik
Minik is tiny. Nobody told her tiny cats aren’t supposed to be this tough.
We found her terribly sick at Nevşehir Municipality Shelter. Even the attendant told us, “She will die. Choose another one.”
We don’t really do “choose another one.”
Minik was almost impossible to catch — until we stepped in. Somehow, she made it surprisingly easy for us. We like to think she knew this was her chance.
After a long clinic stay and quite a few moments when we feared the worst, tiny Minik proved everyone wrong.
She is healthy now, although still suspicious of humans — and frankly, she has her reasons. She needs a patient person, a quiet home and some time.
The surviving part she has already mastered. Now she can concentrate on the fun stuff.
Male
Mond & Stern
Mond & Stern – Two Little Souls Who Met Us Under the Moon and Stars
*The following story is told by Olga, who rescued Mond and Stern during her family holiday in Turkey.*
There are stories in Turkey that happen every day. Mond and Stern were two tiny kittens, barely eight weeks old, growing up in a hotel full of tourists. Between sunbeds, restaurants and swimming pools, they searched for food while avoiding children who treated them like toys. A kind waiter hid them during the busiest hours, and that's how we met them. They were different from the other cats—so gentle, so trusting. Every evening my daughter and I searched for them around the pool, and those quiet walks under the moon and stars inspired their names. They would curl up in my daughter's arms and fall asleep, despite the noisy, unpredictable world around them.
Then one evening my daughter screamed that one of the kittens was in the swimming pool. I don't know whether Stern fell or was thrown in, but I do know that if we hadn't been there, she might not have survived. We had to leave Turkey without them because they were too young to travel, but I couldn't stop thinking about those two little souls. Thankfully, **Paws of Hope Rescue Turkey** found them and brought them to safety. Today they are healthy, playful and just as gentle as I remember. Now all they need is what every kitten deserves: a family where they are loved, protected, and never have to fight to survive again. If you can give Mond and Stern that forever home, their story will finally have the ending they deserve.
Female
Nikita
Niko & Nikita are two deeply bonded cats from the wildfire-stricken region of Hatay, Turkey. They once had a home, a family, and soft beds to sleep on — until the fire took everything. Their family, having lost it all, left them at a shelter, not knowing that shelters in Turkey often mean certain death. We rescued them and brought them to safety in Istanbul, but they still long for the warmth of a real home. All they have left is each other — now they need someone to give them a new beginning. We are ok with adoptions as bonded pair or as single cat.
Female
Pakize
Pakize was found as a tiny kitten, all alone, with a runny nose, watery eyes, and one very loud opinion about the whole situation. Luckily, Terza—a wonderful friend of Paws of Hope and one of our former fosters—heard her cries, scooped her up, rushed her to the vet, and gave her the care she desperately needed. Once Pakize was feeling better, Terza asked us to help find her the perfect forever family.
Today, Pakize is healthy, full of confidence, and convinced that life is one big game. She can turn absolutely anything into a toy, keeps everyone entertained with her hilarious little antics, and then, when she's finally worn herself out, transforms into the cuddliest kitten, happiest wrapped in a soft blanket. If you're looking for a tiny comedian with a huge heart, Pakize is ready to make your home her playground—and your lap her favorite place to nap.
Female
Pixel
Pixel's life started with more challenges than most kittens will ever know. Born to a shy stray mother who was desperately searching for a safe place to give birth, she survived the loss of two siblings and months of treatment for ringworm.
But Pixel has left all of that behind.
This beautiful black kitten has grown into a playful, affectionate, and confident little girl who loves people and approaches life with endless curiosity. Raised in a loving foster home, she has discovered that the world can be a kind place—and now she's ready to find a family of his own.
All Pixel needs is someone willing to look beyond old superstitions and see what we see: a truly wonderful kitten waiting to be loved.
Female
Princess
Princess is a 2-year-old rescue cat with the most stunning bright green eyes and a heart overflowing with love.
She was rescued from the difficult conditions of the Nevşehir municipal shelter, where affectionate cats like Princess often struggle the most. Despite everything she has been through, she has remained unbelievably trusting, gentle, and deeply connected to people.
Princess is the definition of a loving companion. She begins purring almost the moment you touch her and seems happiest simply being close to someone who will give her attention and affection. Whether she is curling up beside you, asking for pets, or softly following you around the house, Princess has a way of making every space feel warmer.
She is looking for a forever home where she can finally experience the comfort, safety, and love she has always deserved.
Male
Sans
Sans’ story is a remarkable testament to resilience, kindness, and the incredible capacity to forgive.
He was found on the streets of Istanbul with a shattered jaw after suffering horrific abuse at human hands. Multiple surgeries were needed to save his life, yet somehow, Sans emerged from it all with his trust in people intact. Rather than fearing humans, he seeks them out for comfort, affection, and companionship.
Today, Sans is one of the sweetest cats you could ever meet. He is affectionate, gentle, endlessly cuddly, and happiest when he is close to people. He adores children, loves being stroked, and rewards every bit of attention with loud purrs and unwavering devotion.
Sans also has nasal polyps that affect his breathing, but he does not let this dampen his loving spirit. After spending far too many months waiting in a veterinary clinic cage, he is still patiently hoping that someone will finally see him, choose him, and offer him the home he has waited so long to find.
Female
Silver
Silver came to us from the Nevşehir shelter, carrying the quiet sadness of a cat who had almost given up. Sick, weak, and withdrawn, she moved as if she wished to disappear, asking only for a little peace.
We don’t know what she endured before we found her, but it was clear life had been unkind. Taking him out of that place felt like lifting a small soul out of darkness.
With time, care, and treatment, Silver slowly recovered. Today she is healthy again — and all she needs now is a loving home and a kind person to show her that life can still be gentle.
Male
Socks
Socks came to us from the Nevşehir shelter, a place where many cats struggle simply to survive. Quiet and gentle, he carried the calm sadness of a cat who had seen too much and learned to stay invisible.
With care and safety, Socks slowly began to trust again. Today he shows his true nature — affectionate, loving, and happiest when he can be held in the arms of his person.
Now Socks is ready for the life he has always deserved: a peaceful home and someone who will never let him feel alone again.
Male
White Tiger (fostered in Amsterdam)
While rushing to catch a train, Nesli spotted a tiny kitten frozen on the railway tracks and climbed down without hesitation to save him. That frightened little soul, who hid under her arm the entire way to safety, is now Tiger — a warm and affectionate cat ready for his forever home.
Female
Balim
Balim is a Siamese lady who did not have “becoming homeless” on her life plan.
She grew up in a home, loved her people and happily shared her life with a dog. Like a true Siamese, she took her role as devoted family member very seriously. Then life became complicated for her family, and somehow Balım was the one left without a home.
She is quite unforgettable — extraordinarily calm, deeply affectionate and somehow wiser than most of us. There is still a little sadness behind those spectacular blue eyes, but she hasn’t given up on people.
She is wonderful with dogs, her paperwork is complete, and Balım is ready to travel. Her bags are metaphorically packed. She just needs an address.
Give Balım a chance. This time, let’s make her destination a forever one.
Male
Damali
Damali once survived on the busy streets of Istanbul, living cautiously and keeping his distance like many stray cats must to stay safe. When a kind feeder noticed he could no longer stand properly, she rushed him to a clinic where he spent six months fighting to recover.
Before returning him to the streets, she gave him one last chance by sharing his story — and by pure luck, we saw it. Now we hope to find Damali a safe home and a loving person who understands how special and deeply devoted tuxedo cats can be.
Female
Green
Green came to us from the Nevşehir Government Shelter, where she seemed to have lost the joy of simply being a cat. With her emerald eyes and gentle soul, she is a calm, affectionate beauty who brings a quiet but deeply loving presence into a home. Green gets along wonderfully with other cats and would make a perfect second cat, asking for nothing more than a small corner on your sofa and someone to love her softly.
Male
Korsan
No one knows how Korsan lost his eye. But whatever happened, it left more than a physical scar—it left him afraid of people.
Today, Korsan is safe, but trust doesn't come easily. He watches from a distance, unsure whether humans can really be kind.
Every day, he takes one tiny step forward, and we celebrate each one.
Korsan doesn't need someone looking for the perfect cat. He needs someone with patience, who understands that the greatest victories are sometimes the quietest ones.
We believe that one day, fear will no longer be the first thing you see in his eye.
Could you be the person who helps him get there?
Male
Limon
Limon simply steals your heart without even trying.
Rescued from the Nevşehir shelter in a fragile condition, he carries a past we'll never fully know. Yet whatever he experienced left behind only kindness, gentleness, and a quiet appreciation for life's simple comforts.
Limon is a calm, easygoing boy who loves soft beds, sunny spots, and peaceful companionship. The moment you approach him, his purr begins, as if kindness is his favorite language.
With his sweet nature and gentle presence, Limon would make a wonderful companion and an ideal second cat. Some cats fill your home with excitement. Limon fills it with peace.
Male
Louie
Louie came into our lives on a day that could have been his last. For his own personal reasons, his adopter brought him to a veterinary clinic to be euthanized, and we happened to be there for another rescue. When we learned what was about to happen, we simply could not walk away.
That day, we left the clinic with two cats instead of one.
Louie is a big, handsome boy with beautiful green eyes, a thick tomcat neck, and the sweetest, most affectionate personality. He adores people and has so much love to give. Despite everything he has been through, Louie remains trusting, gentle, and incredibly loving.
Sadly, he has spent far too long living in a cage while waiting for someone to give him the home he deserves.
Louie was given a second chance once. Now he is looking for the family who will give him the life he has been waiting for.
Female
Marmaray
On a busy day in Istanbul, surrounded by crowds rushing from one place to another, we noticed something that most people had overlooked.
A heavily pregnant cat was lying on top of a green nylon bag beside an escalator.
There was something deeply moving about the scene. In a city filled with concrete, noise, and millions of people, this young mother had found nowhere safer to rest than a discarded bag on the pavement. No shelter. No quiet corner. No one waiting for her.
Yet she stayed there, patiently watching the endless stream of strangers passing by.
We often think about how desperate she must have been. Cats usually hide when they are about to give birth. They search for dark corners, protected spaces, somewhere their babies will be safe. But she had none of those things. All she had was hope that someone would notice.
And somehow, we did.
Not long after coming into our care, she gave birth to six beautiful kittens. Six tiny lives that might never have had a chance if their mother had not crossed our path that day.
When we look at her now, surrounded by her babies, it is hard not to admire her quiet strength. She never stopped believing that there was a safer place somewhere ahead.
Perhaps that green nylon bag was not where her story began.
But it was where her life changed.
And ours too.
Female
Meggy
Meggy had no idea she was being abandoned. We did.
We were at a government shelter for some paperwork when a woman arrived to leave Meggy behind. While Meggy stared around with those enormous eyes, trying to understand what was happening, we knew we couldn’t let her simply disappear into the shelter system.
So Meggy came with us.
She is a soft, kind and gentle girl, but our busy cat pension is simply too much for her. She spends her time finding the quietest little corners to hide.
Not every cat is made for a crowd. Meggy is made for a home — and that’s where we know she will shine.
Male
Mini
Mini is the youngest of five kittens born to Marmaray, a mother cat who gave birth beside the escalators of Bostancı Marmaray Station. He has grown up in sheltered spaces and has never experienced the outside world, which makes him best suited to life as an indoor cat. Mini is very affectionate and loves being close to people, often trying to climb onto laps or shoulders for cuddles. He has a gentle and easygoing personality and lives peacefully with other cats and dogs. Mini is now ready to find a loving home where he can share his sweet and social nature.
Male
Moon
Most people spend their honeymoon making memories. Marc and his wife spent theirs saving a life.
While staying at a nice hotel on Turkey's Aegean coast, they noticed a friendly cat searching for scraps between the restaurant tables. He had a large open wound on his throat, yet everyone seemed to walk past him as if nothing was wrong. Worried that the hotel's solution would simply be to "take him away," they contacted Paws of Hope Rescue Turkey.
Although we don't have a rescue team in that region, we connected them with one of our trusted veterinary clinics. Marc didn't hesitate to call the vet and take the financial responsibility and gave him the chance he deserved. They named him Moon.
After Marc and his wife returned home, we brought Moon to Istanbul to complete his treatment since to take no risks of infection, the treatment needed to last long. Today Moon is healthy, affectionate, and one of the gentlest cats you'll ever meet. He has already found people who refused to look away. Now he is waiting for the one thing he has never had—a family to call his own.
Male
Niko
Niko once had a family and a place to call home in Hatay. But when devastating wildfires swept through the region, everything changed. Amid the chaos and loss, Niko found himself without the life he once knew and was eventually surrendered to a shelter.
For many cats in Turkey, a shelter is not a safe haven. Thankfully, Niko's story did not end there. He was rescued and brought to Istanbul, where he has been waiting patiently for a second chance.
Despite all the upheaval in his life, Niko remains a gentle and loving cat. He has not lost his trust in people or his hope that somewhere, someone is waiting for him.
Now safe and ready for a fresh start, Niko is searching for what every cat deserves: a family to love, a warm place to sleep, and a home where he will never be left behind again.
Male
Patik
Patik was supposed to go back to the streets after his treatment but he didn`t want to.
He was one of the cats we fed in our neighbourhood until we noticed he was in serious pain. He was diagnosed with FIP, went through treatment and recovered beautifully.
We kept him a little longer to avoid the stress of the streets. Then came release day.
Patik looked at us sadly. We looked at Patik same way.
Then came the famous words:“Okay… one more.”
And that was that.
Patik is gentle, affectionate, kind, ridiculously fluffy — and looks like he is going to be a big boy. Wherever Patik ends up, he’ll bring a little sunshine with him.
Female
Pix
Pix's story began before she was even born. Her mother, Pixie, a shy and semi-feral cat, was desperately searching for a safe place to give birth when she found her way to us.
The road wasn't easy. Pix was one of only four kittens who survived from a litter of six, and she spent months in treatment with her family battling ringworm. Today, all of that is behind her.
Unlike her cautious mother, Pix is friendly, confident, and full of kitten charm. This gorgeous black girl is growing up in a foster home where she is adored, but her foster stay is coming to an end. Now Pix is hoping to find a forever family who will love her as much as everyone who meets her does.
Female
Pixie
Despite her sharp, wary eyes, she trusted us right away. We met her as she searched desperately for a safe place to give birth. Just two hours later, she was in our cat pension—and the kittens were on their way. She was a loving mother for her kittens. She was such a gentle cat with a loving personality that we simply couldn`t release her afterwards.
Male
Samba
Samba was born safely in our rescue and has spent his whole life surrounded by care, comfort, and other cats. While many of his siblings have already found their forever homes, Samba is still patiently waiting for his turn. A gentle and slightly shy little boy, Samba likes to take a moment to observe before joining in. Once he feels comfortable, his sweet personality begins to shine through. Now three months old, Samba is ready to find a family of his own and discover what it feels like to be someone's beloved companion.
Female
Saphire
We met Safir and her babies on a busy street where she was desperately trying to survive while protecting her little family. She was extremely skinny, weak, and suffering from mastitis, yet still incredibly affectionate with people, making us believe she had once belonged to someone before being abandoned. Safir was hospitalised, underwent surgery, and her babies were bottle-fed by us while she recovered.
After the whole family healed and was sterilised, Safir was released again — but she kept returning to our door, sneaking back inside whenever she could. It became clear that Safir was never meant for street life. She is a cuddly, affectionate, and intelligent cat who truly belongs in a loving home, close to people she can trust and love deeply.
Male
Snowshoe
They say beauty brings luck. For Snowshoe, it only brought another heartbreak.
With his little white socks, deep blue eyes, and gentle soul, Snowshoe catches everyone's attention. No one knows how he ended up in the Nevşehir shelter, but when he came to us, he was already broken.
His beauty quickly found him a home. His adopters promised to love and spoil him forever.
Forever lasted less than a year.
Snowshoe was returned to us through no fault of his own. Once again, he found himself without a family.
This time, we're not looking for someone who falls in love with his beautiful face. We're looking for someone who will love his heart just as much—and who will make sure he never has to experience another goodbye.
Female
Tekila
Tekila was one of the neighborhood cats we cared for until one day we noticed she was sick. At the vet we learned that her fragile little body simply wasn’t made for the harsh winter outside. After she healed, we couldn’t bring ourselves to return her to the streets — and Tekila quickly showed us we had made the right decision with her cuddly, affectionate nature.
Now she is safe, loved, and ready for a warm forever home.
