About

Minik

Minik is tiny. But apparently, nobody told her that tiny cats aren’t supposed to be this tough.

Minik is another rescue from Nevşehir Municipality Shelter — a place where the front looks carefully arranged, with even a toy or two scattered around. Then you look at the cats. They tell you the real story.

Minik was terribly sick when we noticed her. Even the attendant, a person we had hardly ever seen smile, told us, “She will die. Choose another one.”

No way.

Catching her was supposed to be almost impossible. Minik knew exactly which humans to run from. But when we stepped in, something changed. She let us catch her surprisingly easily. Maybe we are romanticising it, but we like to think she knew we were her last chance.

Then came a long stay at the clinic. There were days when we genuinely thought we were going to lose her.

But Minik had other plans.

Our tiny girl fought her way back, and today she is healthy and ready for the next chapter.

She is still afraid of people. After what she has experienced, we think she has earned the right to be cautious. But with patience, gentleness and the right person, we know that fear can slowly turn into trust.

Minik has already done the difficult part. Now she just needs a quiet home, a patient person, and enough time to discover that life can actually be pretty nice.

Personality:

Minik is a tiny survivor with a cautious heart. She is quiet, sensitive and observant, and for now she prefers to watch humans from a safe distance before deciding whether they deserve her trust.

She is still shy and needs patience — no rushing, no expectations. But behind that careful little character is a remarkably strong cat who has already surprised us more than once.

Minik doesn’t give her trust away for free. Whoever earns it will know they’ve achieved something rather special.
