Moon

Most people spend their honeymoon making memories.

Marc and his wife spent part of theirs saving a life.

While staying at a beautiful hotel on Turkey's Aegean coast, they noticed a friendly cat wandering between the restaurant tables, hoping for a few scraps of food. But there was something impossible to ignore: a large open wound on his throat. What shocked them most was that everyone seemed to walk past him as if nothing was wrong.

They asked the hotel staff for help, but when they understood the cat would simply be "taken away," they became even more worried. That's when they contacted **Paws of Hope Rescue Turkey**.

We don't have a rescue team in that part of Turkey, but we do have wonderful veterinary partners. We put Marc in touch with one of them, and without a second thought, he took the cat to the clinic himself. It probably wasn't what they imagined doing on their honeymoon, but we can't think of a better way to celebrate love than by giving another living soul a second chance.

They named him **Moon**.

After the first stage of his treatment, Marc and his wife had to return home. We then transferred Moon to Istanbul, where he completed his recovery.

Today, Moon is healthy, gentle, and ready for a family of his own. He is one of those cats who trusts people despite everything he has been through. A cat that would never survive long on the streets because his heart is simply too kind.

Now it's time for the next chapter of Moon's story—a home where he'll never have to beg for food or suffer in silence again.
