Aiko, Sophie, and Ouji were born to a stunning feral mama we lovingly called Wild Rose. She cared for her babies devotedly for two months, but the wild still lived strongly in her heart. When her instincts began to push her away from motherhood, we made a promise: her babies would be safe with us. We released Wild Rose back to the freedom she longed for — and she still visits from time to time, eats her meal, and disappears into the wind again.
