Asil’s story is one of loyalty, survival, and quiet heroism.

In Antalya, Asil formed an unlikely but beautiful bond with a homeless man. The two became inseparable, sharing companionship and finding peace in each other during a simple, quiet life on the streets.

But that peace was shattered when the local authorities began a cruel campaign against street dogs, poisoning them indiscriminately. Asil’s life was suddenly in danger.

In an act of true friendship, the man who loved him refused to let him become another victim. He hid Asil, protecting him from harm, and reached out for help. That call led to Paws of Hope Rescue Turkey.

We brought Asil to Istanbul—and from the moment he arrived, it was impossible not to fall in love with him.

Asil is a gentle giant with a noble spirit. Kind, calm, and full of quiet strength, he carries his past with grace and still chooses to trust and love. He deserves nothing less than a safe, warm home where he can finally rest and be cherished.
