About
Yorky
Every day, we think we’ve seen it all — and yet, life finds another way to break our hearts. Just when we say “nothing can surprise us anymore,”* we are proven wrong again.
Tonight, a tiny baby Yorkshire Terrier was abandoned to Esenyurt Shelter — a place tragically known for killing the souls it should protect. We moved faster than ever before, because once a dog is officially registered there, it’s too late — no one can take them out.
In the middle of the night, with frightened eyes and a trembling body, this little pocket-sized life** came into our arms. He’s so small, so young, yet already carrying the weight of sadness no baby should know.
Perhaps he was once a “gift” — bought to make a child happy at the start of summer, then discarded when the season ended. We’ll never know the story of his past.
But one thing we do know — and it’s the only thing that matters now — his future will be different.
He will be loved. He will be protected.
And one day soon, thanks to a kind heart, he will never be abandoned again.

Personality:
Yorkshire Terriers may be tiny in size, but their personalities are enormous — brave, playful, and full of sparkle. Yet our little one isn’t showing the typical traits of his breed just yet; after all, he’s still trying to make sense of all the sudden changes in his young life. For now, he’s a fragile, confused soul slowly discovering that gentle hands and kind voices exist. In time, his true Yorkie spirit — full of courage, curiosity, and love — will shine through, and he’ll become the joyful, affectionate companion he was always meant to be.
