Cookie
Last September, we received a heartbreaking call from one of the poorest districts of Istanbul. An elderly woman was begging for help for a pregnant stray dog who was being chased away, abused and pelted with stones by local children. We rushed to save her.
She arrived to us exhausted, terrified and heavily pregnant. Shortly after, she gave birth to four tiny puppies. Tragically, one puppy passed away within days, and not long after, we lost their mama too.
One of the babies who survived was Cookie.
Cookie grew up without a mother, but somehow she never lost her gentle spirit. Today, she is almost one year old — a calm, loving and incredibly sweet girl who quietly melts into your heart. She is not the kind of dog who demands attention loudly. Instead, she stays close, looks at you softly, and makes you feel peaceful just by being near her.
Despite such a difficult beginning in life, Cookie remained soft-hearted, trusting and full of warmth.
She deserves more than shelter walls and concrete floors. She deserves a home, a family, and people who will finally show her how beautiful life can be.

Cookie is the gentlest soul you’ll ever meet—soft, submissive, and endlessly loyal. She looks into your eyes not to ask for anything, but to understand how you feel, always tuned into your heart. She doesn’t demand a thing—just wants to see you happy, and in return, she offers a quiet, unwavering friendship that lasts a lifetime. Cookie is good with other dogs, kids, people, quite probably cats too.
