About
Hatay Mummy& 9 babies
In Hatay, one of the hardest places in Turkey to survive as a stray animal, this tiny mother dog was trying to keep her babies alive.
Just 9–10 kilos herself, skinny and exhausted, she still stood protectively over her puppies while they searched for milk from a body that had almost nothing left to give. No safety. No warmth. No future waiting for them there.
And yet, she is one of the gentlest dogs we have ever met.
Calm. Affectionate. Quietly grateful for every soft touch. As if she already understands that this may be her last chance to save her little family.
Her babies are still nursing. Their eyes still carry innocence. They have not learned fear yet.
We cannot change where they came from. But maybe, together, we can change where their story ends.
