Ela

Ela is a 6-month-old female puppy with beautiful honey hazel eyes and the gentlest soul.

Getting Ela out of the shelter was not easy. While other dogs desperately ran toward people for attention, Ela ran away. Every time shelter employees came near her, she tried to escape and hide. Even at such a young age, she already seemed to know that humans could bring fear instead of safety.

But when we finally reached her, something heartbreaking happened: Ela let us hold her easily. No resistance. No aggression. Just quiet fear and exhaustion. As if she had already given up trying to protect herself.

When we rescued her, Ela was severely emaciated — just skin and bones after surviving unimaginable hardship as a tiny puppy. Her body was weak, but the sadness in her eyes told an even bigger story.

At first, Ela was unsure around people and struggled to trust. But beneath all that fear was an incredibly loving puppy waiting for someone to show her kindness.

Once Ela realizes she is safe, her true personality begins to shine. She forms deep bonds quickly, seeks affection, and completely melts into cuddles. She especially loves other animals and finds so much comfort in their presence. Ela adores cats and would happily spend hours curled up beside them or gently trying to play. She also gets along beautifully with other dogs and has a calm, sensitive nature around them.

Like any puppy, Ela enjoys chewing on bones, cozy naps, and being close to the people and animals she loves.

Ela is looking for a patient and compassionate home that will continue helping her build confidence and show her the love she always deserved.
