Kuki & Lucky

From the Streets to Hope:
Last September, we received a desperate call from a poor district of Istanbul. An elderly woman was pleading for help—she had witnessed a pregnant dog being cruelly abused, chased off, and pelted with stones by local children. We couldn’t look the other way. We rushed to rescue her.

The mummy dog was in terrible condition—weak, traumatized, and heavily pregnant. Shortly after arriving at our shelter, she gave birth to four tiny puppies. Sadly, one passed away within a few days. Their brave mama held on a little longer, but heartbreakingly, we lost her within a week too.

And so, we were left with three tiny, vulnerable souls—Suki, Kuki, and Lucky. They were so sweet, yet so unlucky. But these three little fighters clung to life with everything they had.

Today, they are nearly a year old. I adopted Suki myself, and she has turned out to be one of the most incredible dogs I’ve ever met. Ironically, people often stop me to ask what breed she is. I always smile and proudly say, “She’s a pure stray.”
Kuki, a sweet 1 year old girl, is already neutered and waiting patiently. Lucky, her brother, is also neutered and equally charming. They are friendly dogs and give a warmest hug when you try to leave them in their pen.

Knowing Suki as I do, it breaks my heart that her brother and sister are still in the shelter. They deserve more. They deserve families. They deserve warmth, love, and a soft bed—not concrete floors and the echoes of barking.

Kuki and Lucky have every quality you could wish for in a companion—loyalty, affection, gentleness, and a huge heart.

Please give them a chance. One chance is all it takes to see how truly special they are.
