About

Roo

Roo arrived at our gate together with her Kangal siblings — dumped like unwanted lives in the middle of nowhere. They were only tiny babies. Hungry, confused, and far too young to understand why they had been abandoned.

But Roo’s story broke our hearts even more.

Someone had cut her ears off while she was still just a puppy. There was still fresh blood on them when we found her. Such a tiny body carrying so much pain already… We held her gently that day, trying to make her feel safe, trying to tell her without words that she was finally somewhere kind.

And somehow, Roo never let cruelty steal her joy.

She may have the most serious little face amongst her siblings, but inside she is full of life. Running, playing, loving — everything comes naturally to Roo. She throws herself into life with surprising lightness, as if she consciously chose happiness despite everything that happened to her.

Roo is growing into a beautiful Kangal girl with strength, intelligence and spirit. She will need people who understand this special breed and who will see beyond her scars — because behind them is a joyful soul who still believes in humans.
