Shorty was rescued from one of the worst shelters in Turkey, a place of immense suffering. Her rescue was anything but easy—especially after the devastating circular following the proposed animal massacre law, which made it nearly impossible for us to take her. It is truly shameful that instead of encouraging adoptions, the system actively blocks them. If they don’t want dogs on the streets, why make it so hard for them to find loving homes?
Despite all the obstacles, we didn’t give up—and we succeeded. Now, Shorty is safe, happy, and thriving.
