About

Smiley

Smiley was once someone’s cherished companion—until she was abandoned on the streets by the very people she trusted most. They left her behind knowing that, as a breed banned in Turkey, her chances of survival were heartbreakingly slim. But somehow, Smiley is still here.

And she is nothing like the world might assume.

Despite everything, Smiley carries no anger. No fear that turns into aggression. No hardness from what she’s endured. Instead, she meets the world with a quiet gentleness that feels almost disarming. True to her name, she still smiles at life in her own soft way—calm, warm, and deeply affectionate.

Her appearance may look strong or intimidating, but the truth reveals itself within moments: Smiley is more like a kitten than a dog. She curls up delicately on pillows, nestling into soft spaces as if trying to recreate the safety she once knew. She remembers comfort—not clearly, but emotionally—and she is still searching for it.

She is peaceful with other kind dogs, affectionate with people, and never shows aggression. What she shows instead is patience. A quiet hope that someone will finally see past the surface and understand who she really is.

Smiley doesn’t need perfection. She doesn’t ask for much. Just safety. Stability. And a person willing to give her what she has been missing for far too long—a home where she is not hidden, not judged, and not in danger.

What she needs now is a true fresh start. A chance to belong somewhere she can finally exhale, fully and forever.
