Topak (adopted)
Meet Topak.
Topak once belonged to someone. She was bought from a pet shop, loved for a while… until she wasn't anymore.
We don't know when she became unwanted, but somehow she ended up in the municipal shelter in Van—a place where countless dogs fought every day over a few pieces of dry bread just to survive.
As if that wasn't cruel enough, she was "sterilized" there. We can't honestly call it sterilization. She was butchered.
When one of our local volunteers begged us to save her, we said yes immediately. We weren't sure she would survive the journey to Istanbul, but Topak had other plans. She wanted to live.
Today, she has left her painful past behind. She is a cheerful, funny little dog who adores people, gets along beautifully with other dogs and cats, and greets every day with a smile.
All she is missing now is a family of her own.

A joyful, exuberant, and endlessly affectionate little terrier whose personality shines through in everything she does. She is spirited and energetic, waking up each day with enthusiasm and carrying that excitement with her from morning to night. Friendly to a fault, she approaches every person and animal as a potential new friend, greeting them with warmth, curiosity, and a wagging tail. Topak is playful and lively, always ready for a game, yet she also has a sweet, cuddly side that makes her just as happy to snuggle close.
