About
Van Gogh
Our Van Gogh—once called Fındık—was barely surviving in the chaos of Van Shelter. Again and again, he was attacked by bigger dogs, unable even to reach his food without being harmed. In the videos, you can see the danger he was in—how fear clung to every timid step he took. A kind young volunteer tried to shield him, but she couldn’t be there all the time. She knew: if no one stepped in, something terrible would happen.
So she cried out for help. It was us who listened.
We arranged his transfer to Istanbul, away from violence and fear. And here he is now: Van Gogh, a gentle soul with a heart full of love, still trusting despite all he's endured. You can tell he once knew the comfort of a home, the warmth of belonging. We made him a promise: to help him forget the pain of the past and guide him toward a future filled only with kindness.
