About

Yuzu

A student reached out to us in tears — her Tunisian friend had just been deported, leaving behind a dog and two cats that the landlord was sending to Esenyurt Shelter. She begged us for help.

If we were guided by logic, we might have said no. But our hearts always decide first — and they said *yes.*

That’s how Yuzu’s story began. A frightened little dog, saved at the very last moment from a shelter that destroys the lives it should protect. Yuzu is shy and gentle; even his tail wags timidly, as if he’s still learning what kindness feels like.

He now needs time to heal — both body and soul. In about a month, he will be ready to find his forever home.
Until then, we hope someone will open their heart and home to a rescue like Yuzu — because love is what truly saves them.

Personality:

Yuzu is a soft-hearted, sensitive little soul. He’s shy at first, moving carefully and watching the world with quiet curiosity. Even his tail wags in a timid, hesitant way — as if he’s still learning what it means to feel safe. But once he senses kindness, he melts, leaning in gently and trusting with all his fragile heart.

He is calm, sweet, and deeply grateful for every bit of affection. With patience and love, Yuzu will blossom into a devoted, loyal companion who just wants to be understood and cherished.
