What happened? The sad part...

In Izmit, a kind woman begged for help in an animal rescue WhatsApp group after finding a mother dog and her nine puppies living in a garbage dump—a dangerous area where animals had been harmed before. Sadly, her cries were ignored until tragedy struck. One puppy was tortured, his paws cut off, and he died. The woman received threats: either remove the dogs, or one puppy would be killed each day.

Paws of Hope Rescue, along with two other rescuers, stepped in. They arranged for the dogs to be transferred to safety in Istanbul, but the other helpers disappeared, leaving Paws of Hope to cover all costs alone. The mother and her remaining eight puppies reached the shelter, but their health deteriorated rapidly. Exposed to Parvo and distemper, five puppies couldn’t survive despite enormous efforts and mounting vet bills.
